Where is the office located? Or are you virtual?  

All sessions are held virtual through a Hipaa compliant platform.

You get to do the session in the comfort of your own personal space. I am aware virtual sessions might not be suitable for all or a preference, therefore we will discuss the pros and cons of virtual sessions prior to the first session.  

What are your office hours?   

Unfortunately I don't have specific office hours as I see clients at different times of the day,  however I try my best to respond to emails within 24 hours.

Generally questions sent via email or a phone call needed is to address general questions or scheduling an appointment.

Any emergency you must please dial 911 and never leave me a voicemail or email with any urgent or crisis matters.

How long is a typical session?  

Sessions are 50 minutes. Additional therapy time can be accommodated if needed.

What do I do to get started and make an appointment?

You would call me or email me email me at [email protected] to initial a 10-15 minute call to discuss.

What is the hourly fee?  

Individual Therapy $150.00

Couples Therapy $200.00

How do I pay?  

You will pay through a user friendly platform called Ivy Pay. I will send you a link prior to our first session to set up your profile and your payment method.

Payment methods are credit card, debit card and HSA -Heatlh Savings cards.

Do you accept insurance? 

Insurance is not a form of a payment currently accepted. 

Can I cancel an appointment?

Yes, I do require a 24 hour notice for a cancellations.

Late cancellations or no shows will be charged at the full rate be fully charged with the card on file, as this time was pre-scheduled for you.

What is a free initial phone consultation? 

A free 15 minute consultation is available to discuss what brings you to therapy and address any questions you might have for me.

It is also used to address the benefits and pros for Telehealth and if it is appropriate for you.

This time will also help you to determine if I am a right fit for you.

What is the age range of your clients?

The age range is 19 through 67 years old.  

What can I expect in the first session?  

During the first session, it may look different for everyone. I use the first session to discuss important legal and ethical aspects of therapy such as confidentiality, some housekeeping topics such as cancellation process, office hours and anything that impacts the future sessions ahead. I also use this session to hear more in depth as to what brings you to therapy and goals you have in mind that include short term and loan term.

What is therapy like with you?  

I believe in a no judgment zone and like to take an approach of curiosity and explorative mindset along with you.

How long will I be in therapy?  

Every individual has unique issues and therapy goal therefore the length of time can vary for each person.

The duration of therapy and focus of discussions will depend on your specific needs. It may be short-term to address a particular issue, or longer-term to work through more complex issues.

Does anyone cry in front of you?  

As a therapist, it is not uncommon for individuals to express their emotions during sessions, and this may include crying.

Emotions are a natural and important part of the therapeutic process, and it is completely okay to express them in a safe and supportive environment.

Do I have to tell you everything?  

As a therapist, I understand that opening up and sharing personal experiences can be challenging. You are in control of what you choose to share in our sessions, and you are never obligated to disclose anything that makes you uncomfortable. However, it is important to note that the more open and honest you are, the more effectively we can work together towards your goals. My role is to provide a safe, confidential, and nonjudgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. Ultimately, the pace and depth of our discussions are guided by your comfort level and readiness to share.

Do you offer video or phone sessions?  

Sessions are all held via telehealth /video sessions at this moment. At this moment in person sessions are not available. Phone sessions are done on a case by case basis when needed. 

How do I know if you are the right therapist for me?  

I’ve never been to therapy or shared personal issues before. I’m used to handling things on my own. Aren’t people who go to therapy weak?   Opening up about personal issues and seeking help is a sign of strength, self-awareness, and a willingness to invest in your own well-being. It is a positive step towards gaining a deeper understanding of yourself, improving your relationships, and enhancing your overall quality of life

Is our work confidential?  

All sessions are confidential and we will have an agreement together 

How long have you been in practice? 

I have been practicing since 2019 as a trainee therapist while working on my Master degree with Pepperdine University.

Have you been in therapy yourself?  

Yes and I am currently in therapy myself. 

What is your educational background?  

I hold a aBachelors degree from Cal State Northridge in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology through Pepperdine University.

Do you prescribe medications?  

As a therapist we do not prescribe medications. I will refer you to your doctor or psychiatry services to seek any type services of medication or questions. 

Are you licensed?  

I am currently an Associate Therapist in Marriage Family Therapy and also an Associate in Professional Clinical Counselor. I am currently working towards a dual license in California. I just recently finished my 3000 hours of for licensure. I will be taking the exam before the end of the year to gain my license.

Do you take notes?

Taking notes is part of my process of making notes and remembering important things you share with me so that I can revisit them in the future.
